The rural Craft group that meets at Flagg village hall is proud to present a memorial plaque celebrating the work of farmers during the war, this will be hung in the ABC shortly.
The community of Hartington have made approximately 5000 poppies out of plastic bottles, and these are now on display in the village outside St Giles Church. The poppies will be on display throughout November.
Work has been carried out on the poppies since March this year, with all ages taking part.
People can “Adopt a Poppy” (in spirit) in memory of a loved one, and a full list of those remembered will be placed in the Church when the display is over. All monies collected …will be donated to the Soldiers Charities.
