Rural Social Groups

The rural Craft group that meets at Flagg village hall is proud to present a memorial plaque celebrating the work of farmers during the war, this will be hung in the ABC shortly.

The community of Hartington have made approximately 5000 poppies out of plastic bottles, and these are now on display in the village outside St Giles Church. The poppies will be on display throughout November.

Work has been carried out on the poppies since March this year, with all ages taking part.

Our rural social groups continue to grow.  We have one based in Ashford in the Water which meets every Wednesday; Hartington, Boylestone (Ashbourne) and Bamford meet monthly.  See programmes for dates. They are lively meetings of retired and semi retired farmers and family members who meet for tea and a chat with meals out and speakers thrown in for good measure.

We welcome all new members
